Meyer Children’s Hospital (a “research hospital” (IRCCS) recognized by the Italian Ministry of Health) is a highly specialized 250-bed hospital equipped with all of the pediatric medical and surgical specialties.  Meyer is part of the Italian National Health Service and, in particular, of the Tuscan health system.  It is integrated with the University of Florence, with which it carries out healthcare, training and research activities.
